Digital Transformation Roadmap

What is digital transformation? Should my organization embrace a digital transformation project? What steps and resources does it involve? What examples can I take as a reference?

The answer to these and other questions is the basis for developing an introduction to a digital transformation program that will give you the map to chart your transformation path in 2 days and 4 sessions.

Who is it for?

The primary target audience for this course includes the following:

  • Managers and professionals with an interest in knowing how to initiate and conduct digital transformation processes;
  • Internal consultants, project leaders, decision-makers, and executives from functional areas where business transformation and new business models are to be implemented;
  • Experts or consultants who want to deepen their knowledge in digital transformation.

At the beginning of this program, each participant is given a digital transformation roadmap guide, which allows them to record the steps their organization should take to implement the transformation plan.

Each session will also wrap up the previous sessions to clarify how this "virtuous circle" allows one to create the roadmap for the digital transformation of one's organization.

Session 1 | Envision

  • In this session, Professor Pedro Ruivo will start by introducing the itinerary to make the digital transformation, with clues about business transformation methodologies and some of the enabling technologies, among which are the Internet of Things, Machine Learning, and Big Data;
  • Building the Vision for digital transformation involves assessing the competitive forces your organization faces, based on "Competitive Intelligence" techniques that will be presented and worked on by the participants, with Luís Madureira;
  • With a clear positioning in the competitive environment and context that surrounds us, we can move on to sketch and outline the strategic vision of the future of the business and the necessary transformations;
  • Several real cases are presented that serve as an example of this preparation and are also integrated in the equation to make the decision to make the digital transformation, the analysis of value, and potential risks.
  • At the end of this 1st session, the participants will know what fundamental elements are necessary to make the decision to move forward to digital transformation, on what assumptions, and at what pace.

Session 2 Engagement

  • In the 2nd session, Professor Pedro Ruivo will introduce change management in the organization and the skills that digital transformation can impact;
  • One of the critical success factors for a digital transformation is the creation of Digital Excellence teams in an organization, which will be responsible for driving and driving the digital agenda, ensuring that digital programs are implemented and managed effectively and efficiently across the organization;
  • Alexandre Nilo Fonseca presents the tools for Digital Skills Assessment in order to identify skills, capabilities (internal and external), strengths, and weaknesses in the organization clearly, in order to create the plan of priorities for the development of skills and capabilities, identify future partners and suppliers and make the decision "DO! or BUY?!";
  • Several real-life first-person cases are also presented as illustrations of the Engagement strategies.

Session 3 Transform

  • The management of transformation and innovation processes is introduced in the 3rd session by Professor Pedro Ruivo, who also introduces the concept of "servitization" and Industry 4.0;
