Who we are

The AD NOVA IMS is a non-profit institution with the status of a public utility legal person and was formed in October 1990.

Formed by ten public and private institutions, AD NOVA IMA aims to support NOVA IMS in the pursuit of its mission, so that it is possible to generate and disseminate knowledge to global society.

AD NOVA IMS created around NOVA IMS a restricted core of institutions that advise and support it, promoting synergies between the different partners of AD NOVA IMS and/or with other national/international partners in areas related to scientific, pedagogical and institutional framework of NOVA IMS, establishing lines of action related to research projects and the development of joint training courses.

It plays a crucial role in NOVA IMS's strategy, linking the academic and professional worlds of information managers, helping to establish the criteria of excellence by which NOVA IMS's academic activity is governed. The support that AD NOVA IMS provides to NOVA IMS is the object of a protocol between that Association and the Rectory of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
