Developed in partnership with the Finance General Inspection – Portuguese Audit Authority (IGF), the Postgraduate Program in Financial and Budgetary Management and Control in Healthcare aims to empower its participants with a set of skills in financial management and control, which will enable the development of new strategies for managing financial information relevant to the performance of financial and budgetary functions in a health unit.

This program provides solid theoretical and practical training for professionals working in the management of health units, whether in public or private entities. It addresses the latest developments in the areas of control and financial reporting, to transmit an integrated view of these important functional areas through integrated and interdisciplinary training, including analysis and requirements of the accounting and internal control systems, as well as the importance of procedures for proper management control.

Who is it for?

The Postgraduate Program in Financial and Budgetary Management and Control in Healthcare is aimed at financial and budgetary management staff and professionals who want to master a set of instruments that allow the strategic goals of the health unit to be achieved, focusing on action and timely decision-making and favoring decentralized delegation of authority and accountability.

These instruments are distributed across the functional areas of financial management, audit, control and reporting, and include the analysis and requirements of the accounting and internal control systems, as well as the development of procedures for proper control of strategic and day-to-day management.

Goals

The Postgraduate Program aims to:

  • Provide solid theoretical and practical training for professionals working in the management of health units, whether in public or private entities;
