Postgraduate Program in Intelligence Management and Security

The program in Intelligence Management and Security creates skills to understand and respond in an objective and informed way to the challenges posed to the different institutions in the framework of the current system of security, defense, international cooperation and information culture in the global world. The course provides analytical skills of different types and presents methodologies to assess, manage and make decisions in complex international security and defence contexts, which require an understanding of the regional political, diplomatic, economic and social framework, namely those arising from the risks and new challenges brought by cybersecurity, counterintelligence, Artificial Intelligence, foresight and scenario building.

Who is it for?

This Program is aimed at undergraduates in any compatible field, wishing to acquire skills related to security and strategic studies, or who wish to update their knowledge and explore new perspectives, given the current theories and subjects.

Among the potential targets of this postgraduate program, those who work in the fields of intelligence and security, in particular elements of the forces and security services, military, decision-making support and competitive intelligence managers, NGO technicians, other technicians of the public administration responsible for information management, stand out in the application process.

Goals

The goal of this program is to train technical staff and managers to:

  • Obtain comprehensive skills in the various stages of the information production cycle;

  • Understand, analyze, and research globalization processes;

  • Demonstrate knowledge of intelligence and information gathering, and techniques of data analysis;

  • Communicate complex issues, clearly and effectively;

  • Promote key skills to support decision making, enhanced by the use of Competitive Intelligence and Business processes;

  • Understand the role of strategic intelligence to support decision making.
